Homemade Mouthwash (DIY Recipe)

Making your own mouthwash is a breeze! You control the ingredients, there are no added chemicals, and it is pennies on the dollar in savings! I created my own recipe; it tastes great and is effective.

The trace minerals are antioxidants which can help repair cell damage. Calcium Carbonate is calcium to help strengthen your teeth. The peppermint oil gives you fresh breath and has antimicrobial properties. Tea Tree oil fights bacteria and gingivitis. I love adding the lemon oil as it tastes great and adds a bit of whitening. Adding a drop to your toothpaste is also great for whitening while you brush! Have fun making your own and feel free to add or change to your liking.

Mouthwash Recipe:

  • 2 cups of filtered water
  • 2 teaspoons of calcium carbonate
  • 6 drops of trace minerals
  • 10 drops of liquid stevia or 2 pkg. of Stevia in the Raw
  • 5 drops of lemon oil
  • 7 drops of tea tree oil
  • 10 drops of peppermint oil

Combine all into your container of choice and shake well before each use. Swish in your mouth for as long as you like then spit it out. Do not swallow.
